Inspirational Obama

Here is the 'viral video' going around about my (now) favorite presidential candidate, Barack Obama (I was in mourning when John Edwards dropped out.... I had just ordered my lawn sign and bumper sticker the day before!). And here is an article about the video.

Depends, are you planning to vote for Obama? We might have some things in common.

I haven't seen Juno yet, how about you?

Carlton is hilarious...I like his comment. Obama is inspirational, and Craig pointed out that his motto, "yes we can", is the same as Bob The Builders'. =)

Carlton made me laugh. I'm still debating on who to vote for now. Obama is my favorite now. My only concern is that he is very liberal, which I am not. We saw Juno, it was funny, mixed in with a lot of potty mouth.

Yes, I might need to vote for him, its between him and Ron Paul at this point for me.

I have a friendly question for J and W. (Disclaimer: I hate speaking over the computer because you can't hear the tone or see the person's face so it could easily be taken the wrong way. I'm not asking this contentiously, just opening an honest discussion.)

I am curious how you can be a strong Romney supporter one week and a potential Obama supporter the next week when their political views are so different. I admit that Obama seems very personable and is a strong public speaker. I am also not thrilled with the Repblican choices at this point, but Romney's whole point of dropping the race was to try to ensure that Obama doesn't get to the White House. Any thoughts?

I can't speak for those two of course, but my impression is that a lot of politically moderate Mormons supported Mitt because they perceived him to have integrity (I disagree, at least in terms of political integrity). Now that he is out of the picture, Obama is an option.

Also, maybe you know something I don't, but as I understand it Romney sacrificed his campaign to keep ANY democrat out of the white house, not particularly Obama. In fact, I think most Rs are more concerned about Hilary.

I just think the main things I really liked Romney for aren't exactly the things he shares with McCain. There are many things though I didn't agree with Romney on though, and even more Obama things I don't agree with. After talking with Ryan I am more of a McCain fan, but I still like Ron Paul. Even though he has the craziest ideas, I still think he has more integrity and at least speaks his mind. Anyway, at this point I am still undecided and I think I will just wait and see how this things plays out. But too bad since Romney is out, the whole election has lost a lot of excitement for me, no one really stands out to me.
But to add to Claire, yes I am concerned about Hillary or Huckabee in there!
